Floyd Medical Center was founded with the goal of building a community hospital to serve Floyd County. Since opening its doors in 1942, Floyd Medical Center has grown from a 70 bed pavilion-style structure, to a 304 bed acute care hospital offering the latest in medical technology. We know that by continuing to provide quality, comprehensive, and technically advanced healthcare, our vision of becoming the health clinic of choice will be realized.
From a single facility at our opening, our growth has included new facilities from multiple Urgent Care Offices and a Behavioral Health Center to a Medical Arts Center and Primary Care offices. Our many satellite offices are located conveniently throughout Floyd County to better serve the community. Respect for the individual, combined with compassion, sensitivity and affordability is the cornerstone of our family-centered health care system.
